Banana Nice Cream: Vegan Ice Cream

If you’re new to the world of homemade vegan ice cream, you are in for a real treat! Banana “Nice Cream” is basically the best thing that has happened to vegans with a sweet tooth. It’s simple, quick, healthy and truly delicious. There is one essential step to making Nice Cream, after that the flavour combinations are up to you!

Here we’ll give you a step by step breakdown of how to make amazing Nice Cream right at home!

Step 1

Allow the bananas to ripen before you peel them. As soon as your banana are slightly brown, it’s time to peel and break them into pieces. Throw them into a zip lock bag or air tight container and freeze them.

Step 2

When your banana’s are fully frozen, pulse them in a high quality blender or food processor. You want to end up with a soft-serve like consistency, so this may take a few minutes. If you’re having trouble getting the banana’s to blend you can add a bit of water or another choice of liquid.

When you get the right consistency you can serve immediately for a softer ice cream or throw it back in the freezer for another 30 minutes for a more firm texture.

Step 3

This is the part where you get to be creative! Think of your favourite ice cream flavour – Mint Chocolate Chip? add some peppermint and dark chocolate on top. Peanut Butter? Melt a couple spoons of peanut butter and drizzle it on top of your Banana Nice Cream.
