Vegetarian Beans & Weenies

Here is a quick lunch for the kids that they will certainly enjoy! As we close out the summer, enjoy this quick and easy vegetarian version of beans and weenies. Have it in a bowl, or on bread with ketchup and mustard for an extra kick!

Vegetarian Beans & Weenies

Preparation Time: 5 minutes | Cook Time: 10 minutes | Total Time: 15 minutes

Serves: 2-4

Ingredients

  • 1- 16 oz. can of organic vegetarian baked beans
  • 2 Tablespoons of your favorite barbecue sauce
  • 1/2 roma tomato, diced
  • 2 vegan hot dogs, sliced (we used Smart Dogs by LightLife)
  • Ketchup and Mustard
  • Whole grain bread

Instructions

  1. In a small pot over medium heat add all prepared ingredients (minus the ketchup, mustard, and bread of course).
  2. Once the beans and weenies is evenly heated, transfer to a bowl and serve, or add on top of a piece of whole grain bread with ketchup and mustard.
