Here is a quick lunch for the kids that they will certainly enjoy! As we close out the summer, enjoy this quick and easy vegetarian version of beans and weenies. Have it in a bowl, or on bread with ketchup and mustard for an extra kick!
Vegetarian Beans & Weenies
Preparation Time: 5 minutes | Cook Time: 10 minutes | Total Time: 15 minutes
Serves: 2-4
Ingredients
- 1- 16 oz. can of organic vegetarian baked beans
- 2 Tablespoons of your favorite barbecue sauce
- 1/2 roma tomato, diced
- 2 vegan hot dogs, sliced (we used Smart Dogs by LightLife)
- Ketchup and Mustard
- Whole grain bread
Instructions
- In a small pot over medium heat add all prepared ingredients (minus the ketchup, mustard, and bread of course).
- Once the beans and weenies is evenly heated, transfer to a bowl and serve, or add on top of a piece of whole grain bread with ketchup and mustard.
