Kale has become the poster child for healthy eating. After passing that initial step of learning how to massage your kale, kale eaters can often get into a bit of a rut. There are so many unique ways to use your kale aside from sautéing it! Kale is versatile: it can soften up in a soup or have that nice rough crunch in a salad. You can even crisp it and turn it into a chip! Here are three methods you can use to change up your kale game:
Crisp It
This is my favourite method especially when I’m having a salt craving! It’s a healthy snack that doesn’t require a lot of effort. All you need is a bit of olive oil, salt and a heated oven. Throw them in 20 minutes before your favourite show starts and you’ll have a guilt free snack to munch on!

Smoothies
Adding a couple handfuls of kale to your morning smoothie is such a great way to sneak some greens into your diet. It will likely give your smoothie a nice green shade but, if you’re not a fan of the Hulk aesthetic, mix some blueberries into your blender to get a beautiful purple smoothie thats packed with antioxidants and iron.

Steam it
Kale is a tough green and steaming it is a wonderful way to soften its texture. All you need to do is cut it up the way you want it served and leave it in a steamer for about 5-10 minutes depending on how soft you want it to feel. This method is especially great with a squeeze of lemon juice on top of the steamed kale.
